There are a number of excellent enthusiast sites about London bus services. Three I find particularly useful are Mike Harris' Greater London Bus Map for a superb bus map, Robert Munster's London Bus Routes which gets down to the details for the enthusiasts, and Ian Armstrong's London Bus Routes for a quick summary of historical details. If you are interested in photos of buses then Adam Murray has collected together over 15,000 of them at his London bus routes fotopic site. The TfL site itself is of course a valuable resource, and has the following maps that may be of interest (please let me know if the links break):

There are a number of bus routes serving Addiscombe. The following list was intended to be comprehensive as of May 2007 but I could have missed a route or two (it deliberately excluded the 604 school service that was serving Stanley Technical High School in its temporary home on Davidson Road).

The routes described below were believed to be correct as of May 2007 but please check with bus maps and timetables. Routes don't change at a drop of a hat but changes to established routes do happen. Some of the routes have associated photos and these link to the larger versions on Fotopic. Only one photo is shown per route unless there is a point to be illustrated by having more than one (e.g. the 289 having single and double deck buses) but there may be several others in the Fotopic collection and they may have additional commentary.

I am listing the routes in one direction only and I am trying to list the major roads used so the actual route becomes a little clearer. Bear in mind some roads may not have any stops on them. I try to mention any stations, tram stops and other significant locations passed (if these are not actually on the route as such but are very close by then I mention them in parentheses). Some routes may be slightly different in the other direction because of one-way streets etc and I will mention this in the route description if I am aware of it. Where I quote approximate journey times these have been suggested by the weekday off-peak timetables and you'll have to decide for yourself how accurate they are likely to be in reality, and you should certainly take no notice for travel in busier periods.

64
Thornton Heath – Croydon – South Croydon – Croham Road – Selsdon – Addington Village – New Addington

Thornton Heath Pond, London Road, Mayday University Hospital, West Croydon station, Poplar Walk (West Croydon bus station and tram stop), Wellesley Road (Wellesley Road tram stop), Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Park Hill Road, South Park Hill Road, (South Croydon station), Croham Road, Farley Road, Addington Road, Selsdon Park Road, Addington Village tram stop, Lodge Lane, Fieldway tram stop, King Henry's Drive tram stop, Parkway, New Addington tram stop, Salcot Crescent.

In the reverse direction buses go directly from George Street to Wellesley Road and serve West Croydon bus station.

Route 64 runs from Thornton Heath straight down the London Road into central Croydon and then heads east to just clip the south-west corner of Addiscombe, where it uses the Addiscombe Road between East Croydon station and Park Hill Road. The route passes close by South Croydon station before heading off on the Croham Road to Selsdon and then towards Addington Village and into New Addington.

The timetabled off-peak service is about every eight minutes (fifteen minutes on Sundays) with fourteen minutes suggested between Thornton Heath and East Croydon and then another twenty-six minutes to New Addington.

119
Bromley – Hayes – West Wickham – Shirley – Croydon – Croydon Airport

Bromley North station, Tweedy Road, Kentish Way, Elmfield Road, High Street, Bromley South station, Westmoreland Road, Hayes Road, Hayes Lane, Hayes Street, Pickhurst Lane, Station Approach, Hayes station, Bourne Way, Addington Road, Corkscrew Hill, Wickham Court Road, High Street, Wickham Road, Shirley Road, Shirley Park, Addiscombe Road, Sandilands tram stop, Lebanon Road tram stop, East Croydon station and tram stop, George Street, Park Street, High Street, South End, Warham Road, Denning Avenue, Purley Way, The Collonades.

The 119 is one of two routes serving Bromley from Addiscombe. This one is served by double deckers and goes along the Addiscombe Road till it meets the Shirley Road by Shirley Park. It then heads off down through Shirley and West Wickham before disappearing off towards Hayes to approach Bromley from a southerly direction. In the opposite direction the route picks up the High Street and then heads off towards the Swan & Sugarloaf where it swings off westerly towards Fiveways Corner to pick up the Purley Way. It terminates at The Collonades which is near Croydon Airport.

The timetabled off-peak service is about every ten minutes (fifteen minutes on Sundays) with the journey taking about three quarters of an hour to Bromley from East Croydon. In the other direction it would is about fifteen minutes from East Croydon to 'Croydon Airport'.

130
Norwood Junction – Addiscombe – Shirley Park – Addington – New Addington

Grosvenor Road (Norwood Junction station), Belgrave Road, High Street, Portland Road, Spring Lane, Woodside tram stop, Ashburton Park, Shirley Road, Shirley Park, Upper Shirley Road, Shirley Hills Road, Gravel Hill, Gravel Hill tram stop, Kent Gate Way, Addington Village tram stop, Lodge Lane, Fieldway, Merrow Way, Headley Drive, Goldcrest Way, King Henry's Drive, Homestead Way, Overbury Crescent, Parkway (New Addington Tramlink).

The 130 skirts the eastern edge of Addiscombe, running along Spring Lane and Shirley Road. The routing at the New Addington end changed in May 2007 in what was basically a swap with the T31. It is now also part of the through ticketing scheme for buses and trams along with the T31, T32 and T33 and now the 314. The route was due to be extended to Thornton Heath via Selhurst Road, Park Road and Whitehorse Lane in late 2007. You may see South Norwood Hill and Whitehorse Lane suggested elsewhere but the Park Road route was definitely the preferred routing, though as Park Road does not have an existing bus service there were still issues to be resolved. The new timetable for the end of April 2009 shows the terminus is still Norwood Junction so clearly the issues haven't been resolved, or at least not resolved favourably for the extension to happen.
194
Croydon – Shirley – West Wickham – Elmers End – Beckenham – Penge – Lower Sydenham

West Croydon bus station and tram stop (West Croydon station), Wellesley Road, Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Lebanon Road tram stop, Sandilands tram stop, Shirley Park, Shirley Road, Wickham Road, Hartland Way, West Way, Shirley Way, Bridle Road, Wickham Road, High Street, Station Road, West Wickham station, Beckenham Road, South Eden Park Road, Elmers Links Way, Eden Park station, Upper Elmers End Road, Elmers End Green, (Elmers End station and tram stop), Croydon Road, Beckenham Road, Clock House station, Beckenham Road tram stop, High Street, Green Lane, Parish Lane, Lennard Road, Penge East station, Newlands Park, Sydenham Road, Bell Green, Perry Hill, Lower Sydenham Sainsbury's.

The 194 is one of several routes running along the south side of Addiscombe along the Addiscombe Road and one of three (along with the 119 and 198) that then run along the Wickham Road through Shirley and West Wickham. This one then turns north and heads through Eden Park towards Elmers End and then towards Beckenham before diverting up Penge and then to Sydenham and Lower Sydenham.
197
Croydon – Norwood Junction – Penge – Forest Hill – Dulwich – Peckham

Katharine Street, Park Lane, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Cherry Orchard Road, Morland Road, (Blackhorse Lane tram stop), Woodside Green, (Woodside tram stop), Portland Road, Norwood Junction station, Manor Road, Sunny Bank, Penge Road, Croydon Road, High Street, Penge West station, Crystal Palace Park Road, Lawrie Park Road, Kirkdale Corner (Sydenham station), Kirkdale, Dartmouth Road, Forest Hill station, London Road, Horniman Museum, Lordship Lane, Barry Road, Peckham Rye, Rye Lane, Peckham Rye Station, Hanover Park, Clayton Road, Peckham High Street, Peckham Bus Station .

The East Croydon station stop is actually in Cherry Orchard Road rather than the bus station. In the reverse direction the buses go via Park Road and the High Street to Croydon Flyover.

The 197 is operated by double deckers and runs through Addiscombe via Cherry Orchard Road and Morland Road. The route from Norwood Junction through Anerley, Penge, Kirkdale, Forest Hill, Dulwich and Peckham Rye to Peckham was taken over from the 312 in September 2005. Up until this time the 197 had spent some years as the shortest double deck route in London. The change was largely an economy measure as the 197 and 312 run close to Woodside, Blackhorse Lane and Addiscombe tram stops and lost passengers to the trams and switching the busiest part of the 312 over to the 197 allowed the 312 to be switched to single deckers.

The timetabled service is about every twelve minutes off-peak (twenty minutes on Sundays). Starting from the Leslie Arms roundabout at the junction of Cherry Orchard Road and Morland Road, it takes about ten minutes to Norwood Junction and about thirty-five minutes to Peckham.

198
Thornton Heath – Thornton Heath Pond – Croydon – Shirley Park – Shirley – Shrublands

Nursery Road, High Street, Thornton Heath station, Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath Pond, London Road, Mayday University Hospital, West Croydon station, Poplar Walk (West Croydon bus station and tram stop), Wellesley Road (Wellesley Road tram stop), Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Lebanon Road tram stop, Sandilands tram stop, Shirley Park, Shirley Road, Wickham Road, Bridle Road, Broom Road, Gorse Road, Bramble Close.

In the reverse direction buses go directly from George Street to Wellesley Road and serve West Croydon bus station. In Shrublands the return route is via Shrublands Avenue instead of Gorse Road.

The 198 is another of the routes running along the south side of Addiscombe along the Addiscombe Road and then via Shirley Park and Shirley, this time diverting down into the Shrublands estate rather than continuing on to West Wickham. In the reverse direction this is another of the routes that head up towards Thornton Heath Pond and so serve Mayday Hospital.
289
Purley – Waddon – Thornton Heath – Croydon – Addiscombe – Elmers End

Whytecliffe Road (Purley station), Purley Cross (Tesco), Purley Way, Croydon Airport, Trafalgar Way (Sainsbury's), Waddon Marsh tram stop, Drury Crescent, Purley Way, Thornton Road, Thornton Heath Pond, London Road, Mayday University Hospital, London Road, West Croydon Station, Poplar Walk (West Croydon bus station and tram stop), Wellesley Road, St James's Road, Lower Addiscombe Road, Addiscombe tram stop, Ashburton Park, Long Lane, Croydon Road, (Elmers End station and tram stop and Tesco), Elmers End Green.

In the reverse direction the buses still go to Trafalgar Way and then Drury Crescent because it is a one way system and the buses go along Station Road to West Croydon bus station.

The 289 ploughs straight through the middle of Addiscombe along the Lower Addiscombe Road. In the westerly direction it is the one bus using St James's Road as far as Wellesley Road to enter Croydon from the north side. It then runs all the way up to Thornton Heath Pond before coming back down the Purley Way through Waddon all the way to Purley (a rather tedious journey if you just want to get to the Waddon area). In the easterly direction it just keeps going along the main road to Elmers End Green.

The 289 is operated by Arriva using a mix of dual door single-deck buses (type PDL and DDL) and double-deckers (DLA). Sources suggest that the peak vehicle requirement is eight or more single-deck (one source says ten) and that there are just the two double deck. It seems like more double deckers than that but it probably just seems like that because they stand out against all the other single deck buses on other routes. The timetables suggest an off-peak service every fifteen minutes (twenty minutes on Sundays). It takes about ten minutes from Addiscombe tram stop to Elmers End, and in the opposite direction it takes about ten minutes to West Croydon, around twenty to Thornton Heath, thirty to Waddon and forty to Purley.

312
Norwood Junction – Addiscombe – Croydon – South Croydon

Clifford Road (Norwood Junction station), Portland Road, Spring Lane, Woodside tram stop, Ashburton Park, (Blackhorse Lane tram stop), Lower Addiscombe Road, Addiscombe tram stop, Cherry Orchard Road, East Croydon station and tram stop, George Street, Park Street, High Street, South End, Brighton Road, Riddlesdown Road, Purley Downs Road, Brighton Road, South Croydon bus garage.

Riddlesdown Road and Purley Downs Road are part of a one-way system the buses follow southbound in the Royal Oak area. In the reverse direction the buses use Katherine Street and Park Lane instead of Park Street. They also use the Cherry Orchard Road stop for East Croydon station.

The 312 is operated by Arriva using single-deck buses. Most seem to be their dual door types PDL and DWL, although their single door PDL has also been operating the route. In early 2008 the occasional double decker has been seen (whether this is as part of the normal fleet or as a spare I couldn't say).  It was operated by double-deckers until September 2005 when it was shortened to run to Norwood Junction and the 197 took over its route to Peckham. This was apparently an economy measure as both routes had lost passengers to the trams and it was the Norwood Junction to Peckham route that was the busiest. It seems to me that leaving the 312 alone and just switching the 197 to single deckers must have been an option, but presumably the extra length of the 312 down to South Croydon was a factor.
367
Croydon – Addiscombe – Shirley Oaks – Elmers End – Beckenham – Shortlands – Bromley

West Croydon bus station (West Croydon tram stop and station), Station Road, Wellesley Road (Wellesley Road tram stop), Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Cherry Orchard Road, Lower Addiscombe Road, Addiscombe Tramlink, Shirley Road, Primrose Lane, Shirley Oaks Road, Wickham Road, Orchard Avenue, The Glade, Long Lane, Croydon Road, (Elmers End tram stop), Elmers End Green, Eden Park Avenue, Cross Ways Road, Village Way, High Street, Bromley Road, Oakwood Avenue, Scott's Lane, Beckenham Grove, Shortlands Road, Shortlands station, Valley Road, Kingswood Road, St Mary's Avenue, Cumberland Road, Westmoreland Road, Masons Hill, Bromley South Station, High Street, Elmfield Road, Kentish Way, Widmore Road, West Street, College Road, Tweedy Road, Bromley North station.

In the return direction the route is directly up Wellesley Road from George Street. I haven't reviewed the whole of the return route to see if there are any differences on its many trips around the houses.

The 367 is the second of two buses to Bromley from Addiscombe. You really want to take the 119 as the 367 takes wandering off to extremes. The timetables suggest the 119 takes three quarters on an hour to Bromley from East Croydon and the 367 nearer an hour. However half an hour of that is from Elmers End to Bromley so the 289 or a tram would shorten the journey.

I've only been on the 367 in the return direction and once it cleared the traffic in Bromley, which took about fifteen minutes, the tours of Shrublands on the way to Beckenham and then Eden Park to Elmers End were quite bearable. However from Elmers End the route through Monks Orchard and then the tour through Shirley Oaks was incredibly tedious and seemed to take a lot more than the timetabled half an hour. It felt like about a fortnight.

Up until June 2005 the route from East Croydon to Shirley was the more direct one all the way along the Addiscombe Road. The route along the Lower Addiscombe Road and Shirley Road and then around Shirley Oaks was handled by the 494. This route dated from the restructuring of local services in 2000 when Tramlink opened but outside peak hours was barely used. However it did bring bus services where there hadn't been any before and so it fell to the 367 to take it over.

Unlike the other routes serving Cherry Orchard Road, the 367 continued to use East Croydon bus station itself following the route change and skipped the first bus stop (E4). It shared stand E3 with the 466 and N159. In January 2007 it started serving the Cherry Orchard Road stop in addition to the bus station.

409
Croydon – Selsdon – Warlingham – Caterham – Godstone – Lingfield – East Grinstead

Fairfield Halls, Park Lane, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Park Hill Road, South Park Hill, (South Croydon Station), Croham Road, Croham Valley Road, Farley Road, Old Farleigh Road, double run via Harrow Road to Chelsham Common Great Park, Old Farleigh Road, Sunny Bank, Chelsham Road, Limpsfield Road, Warlingham Green, Westhall Road, Hillbury Road, Upper Warlingham station, Hillbury Road, Whyteleafe Station, Whyteleafe Hill, Salmons Lane West, Buxton Lane, Banstead Road, Coulsdon Road, Chaldon Road, Caterham-on-the-Hill, High Street, Church Road, Church Hill, Caterham Valley station, Station Avenue, Godstone Road, Godstone Hill, Godstone High Street, Godstone Green, Eastbourne Road, Station Road, Godstone station, Eastbourne Road, Blindley Heath, Ray Lane, Lingfield Common Road, Saxby's Lane, Vicarage Road, Plaistow Street, Lingfield High Street, Town Hill, Racecourse Road, Dormans Road, Dormansland, Dormans High Street, Wilderwick Road, Sandhawes Hill, Holtye Road, Blackwell Hollow, College Lane, Estcots Drive, Harmans Drive, Worsteds Farm Estate, Woodbury Avenue, Lewes Road, High Street, London Road, Railway Approach, East Grinstead station.

I haven't got around to double checking the route above, and I'm certainly not going to worry about the return routing.

The 409 is the second of three routes just clipping the south-west corner of Addiscombe as they use the Addiscombe Road between East Croydon station and Park Hill Road. It is rather a long one too, with its timetabled hourly off-peak service (no Sunday service) scheduled to take over an hour and three-quarters on its long trek to East Grinstead station. This journey goes well outside the TfL zonal fare areas and so beyond Selsdon different fares are likely to apply (I've no idea what they might be). The 409 has a history as one of the green 'Country' bus routes and indeed dates back to the 1920s when it was an even longer route. On 2nd June 2007 the route returned to Metrobus.
410
Wallington – Beddington – Croydon – Davidson Road – Norwood Junction – Crystal Palace

Shotfield, Stanley Park Road, Woodcote Road, Railway Approach, Wallington station, Manor Road, Croydon Road, (Beddington Park), (Waddon Station), Purley Way, Waddon Road, Waddon New Road, Rectory Grove, Roman Way, Reeves Corner (Reeves Corner tram stop), Tamworth Road, Centrale tram stop, (West Croydon Station), Station Road, West Croydon bus station (West Croydon tram stop), Wellesley Road (Wellesley Road tram stop), Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Cherry Orchard Road, Lower Addiscombe Road, Davidson Road, double run to Towpath Way, double run to Christie Drive,Tennison Road, Selhurst Road, Norwood Junction station, High Street, South Norwood Hill, Southern Avenue, Lancaster Road, Auckland Road, South Norwood Lake and Grounds, Sylvan Road, Maberley Road, Hamlet Road, Anerley Road, Anerley Hill (Crystal Palace station), Crystal Palace Parade.

East Croydon station is served by either the Dingwall Road stop or the first stop in Cherry Orchard Road in the above direction. The return journey starts at Crystal Palace bus station, stops opposite East Croydon station and goes directly from George Street to Wellesley Road. The bus turns away from Tamworth Road past the Centrale tram stop into an unnamed service road to pick up Drummond Road. After Reeves Corner it heads down Cairo New Road to pick up Waddon New Road. At the Wallington end of the journey Shotfield is one-way so the bus uses Beddington Gardens to get to it.

The 410 skirts the western edge of Addiscombe running along both Cherry Orchard Road and Davidson Road. As there is no left turn into Lower Addiscombe Road from Cherry Orchard Road (and similarly no right turn in the opposite direction) the bus has to loop all the way around what I call the Leslie Arms roundabout (so hold on tight). On Davidson Road it has two very short double runs down two side roads that don't really seem to achieve a lot. The route is an incredibly useful one as it takes in the main shopping area in Croydon from three sides, it serves West Croydon, East Croydon, Waddon and Crystal Palace railway stations, and it runs past or close to Waddon Ponds, South Norwood Recreation Ground, South Norwood Library, South Norwood Lake and Crystal Palace Park.

For some time the route was timetabled for a ten minute off-peak service (fifteen minutes on Sundays) but in April 2008 this was increased to an eight to nine minute service which presumably equates to one extra bus an hour. However this eight to nine minute service runs from seven a.m. till seven p.m. so there isn't really a separate peak service.

The service is run by Arriva using single deck buses. The core fleet is their type DWS dual door bus but three of their type ADL were added in early 2008 and their type dual door PDL is frequently seen too. The occasional single door bus has appeared now and again and was possibly down to use of an engineering spare, but sadly single doored variants of the PDL seem to be appearing quite frequently following the timetable change. Single doored buses really are not appropriate for this route.

The bus is timetabled to take about an hour over the whole route (off-peak), with East Croydon being the half way point time wise.

I have commented on the service on the 410 in the views section, and again on the with emphasis on use of the single door buses. and yet again with an example of the poor service.

466
Caterham-on-the-Hill – Old Coulsdon – Purley – Croydon – Shirley Park – Addington

Westway, Chaldon Road, Coulsdon Road, Coulsdon Common, Stoats Nest Road, Brighton Road, (Reedham Station), Purley Cross (Purley station and Tesco), Brighton Road, South End, High Street, Katharine Street, Park Lane, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Lebanon Road tram stop, Sandilands tram stop, Shirley Park, Upper Shirley Road, Shirley Hills Road, Gravel Hill, Gravel Hill tram stop, Kent Gate Way, Addington Village tram stop.

The reverse journey takes the one-way system via Riddlesdown Road and Purley Downs Road in the Royal Oak area.

The 466 runs from Caterham-on-the-Hill which is a smidgen outside the TfL zonal boundary (and certainly not far enough to have different fares). It is another of the buses running along the Addiscombe Road from East Croydon to Shirley Park but this one goes down the Upper Shirley Road instead of pointing towards West Wickham.

The timetabled service is about every ten minutes off-peak (fifteen minutes on Sundays) with journey times from East Croydon station being about fifteen minutes to Addington Village, twenty minutes to Purley Cross, thirty minutes to Old Coulsdon and thirty-five minutes to Caterham-on-the-Hill.

The above was written when Metrobus was running the service. Arriva took over the route on 30th August 2008 and a new timetable was introduced in January 2009. I haven't checked to see if there is any obvious differences from the summary above.

N159
Marble Arch – Trafalgar Square – Kennington – Brixton – Streatham – Croydon – New Addington

Marble Arch Station, Oxford Street, Bond Street station, Oxford Street, Oxford Circus station, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus station, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square (Charing Cross station), Charing Cross, Whitehall, Parliament Street, Westminster station, Bridge Street, Westminster Bridge, Westminster Bridge Road, Lambeth North station, Kennington Road, Kennington Park Road, Oval station, Brixton Road, Brixton station, Brixton Road, Effra Road, St Matthew's Road, Brixton Hill, Streatham Hill, Streatham Hill station, Streatham High Road, Streatham station, Streatham High Road, London Road, Norbury Station, London Road, Thornton Heath Pond, West Croydon station, North End, Poplar Walk (West Croydon bus station and tram stop), Wellesley Road (Wellesley Road tram stop), Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Lebanon Road tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Sandilands tram stop, Shirley Park, Shirley Road, Upper Shirley Road, Shirley Hills Road, Gravel Hill, Gravel Hill tram stop, Gravel Hill, Kent Gate Way, Addington Village tram stop, Lodge Lane, Fieldway, Merrow Way, Headley Drive, Goldcrest Way, King Henry's Drive tram stop, Montacute Road, Salcot Crescent, New Addington tram stop, Central Parade, Arnhem Drive, King Henry's Drive, Homestead Way, Milne Park East.

The N159 is a night bus service. It has a ten minute frequency between Marble Arch and Streatham but only a half-hourly one further south. It takes about an hour from Marble Arch to East Croydon and a little under another half hour from there to New Addington.
T33
Croydon – Croham Valley Road – Selsdon – Selsdon Vale – Forestdale – Addington

West Croydon bus station (West Croydon tram stop and station), Station Road, Wellesley Road (Wellesley Road tram stop), Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, East Croydon station and tram stop, Addiscombe Road, Park Hill Road, South Park Hill, (South Croydon Station), Croham Road, Croham Valley Road, Old Farley Road, Sandpiper Road, Nightingale Road, Selsdon Vale, Kingfisher Gardens, Goldfinch Road, Peacock Gardens, Squirrel Bank, Linton Glade, Pixton Way, Bardolph Avenue, Forestdale, Courtwood Lane, Featherbed Lane, Kent Gate Way, Addington Village tram stop.

The T33 is another of the buses that run along the Addiscombe Road between East Croydon and Park Hill Road before disappearing in a southerly direction. It is one of the 'tram feeder' bus services and so is effectively treated like a continuation of a tram journey for ticketing purposes (think of it as the bus journey being free if you also use the tram). The timetabled off-peak service has a frequency of twelve minutes and the journey time from East Croydon to Selsdon is around ten minutes, to Forestdale is a little over fifteen minutes, and to Addington Village is a little under twenty-five.

The 'tram feeder' routes have always seemed a bit odd to me. I can just about see that the T31 could be considered as feeding from Forestdale into Tramlink but the rest of its route and all of the T32 route seem to be linking up roads that aren't really that far from tram stops in the first place. They are in effect just short local bus services. The T33 might link to Addington Village tram stop at one end but it otherwise looks like a pretty standard bus route. I just can't see that they feed Tramlink any more than many other routes do. I certainly can't see why they should merit the special ticketing arrangements and indeed why these arrangements have been extended to the 130 and 314. The concept is fine but there should be a level playing field. Taking a bus to and from the tram stop when making tram journeys happens across the Tramlink catchment area, not just in this one part, and yet passengers elsewhere pay for both bus and tram. Similarly passengers across the whole of London needing to take two buses on their journeys pay for both (Trams have the same fares as buses to the comparison is valid).
